Chicago Embroidery Company
Web Design, User Experience. View Site
I was hired by the Chicago Embroidery Company to completely remake their corporate identity and their web presences. After the introductory meeting, we had a second meeting where I spent the whole time listening to what CEC does and their history as a company. I took this information along with some other information about how the company owner wanted to be viewed as a company to create the identity. Because CEC has been around for so many years I tried to focus on the history and heritage of the company.
The biggest challenge with CEC was creating an identity and then continuing the spirit of the identity with the web site that used the companies heritage to draw users in. We ended up adding a few "vanity" pages that helped us create this on the web site, such as the "Emblems from the past" page where we highlighted some very old emblems created by CEC with some big name companies.
